Corrugated Supplies Company Increases Pledge to $100,000
Corrugated Supplies Company (CSC) has pledged an additional $50,000 in support of the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation’s initiatives. This new commitment brings CSC’s total pledge during the current CorrAlliance Partner campaign to $100,000.

15th Annual Careers In Corrugated Packaging Teleconference
ICPF will conduct its 15th Annual Careers in Corrugated Packaging & Display Teleconference on February 20, 2014. An estimated 400–500 packaging, graphic design, marketing and sales, supply chain management, business, students and faculty from 15–18 colleges and universities are expected. This event is not a webcast, but rather a live videoconference, using professional tv broadcast-grade equipment for two-way interactivity. Campuses participating in the previous year’s teleconference included Appalachian State University, Bowling Green State University, Cal Poly, Clemson University Graphic Communications & Packaging, Dunwoody College of Technology, Illinois State University, Lewis Clark State College, Michigan State University, Millersville University, North Carolina A&T, Rutgers University, University of Florida, University of Texas-Arlington, University of Wisconsin-Stout, and Virginia Tech.
Two industry panelists representing the independent and integrated sides of the industry will address this year’s topic, The Business of Corrugated Packaging & Display. The panel presentation will be followed by a round of live questions.
The two-hour teleconference’s grand finale includes ICPF’s annual “Best of the Best” student design presentation competition. Three student teams from University of Texas-Arlington, Dunwoody College of Technology, and Ryerson University will be tasked to show, tell, and sell their winning entries by explaining the objective, the research conducted, design, and other background. Student teams compete for cash prizes.
Greif Expands Pledge to $250,000
Longtime ICPF supporter Greif has pledged an additional $100,000 in support of the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation’s operations. Combined with its earlier contributions and those of CorrChoice, this new commitment brings Greif’s total pledge during the current CorrAlliance Partner campaign to $250,000.
Pete Watson, Greif Group President, serves on ICPF’s Board of Directors and made the announcement of the expanded contribution. “Greif is proud to continue our support of ICPF,” says Watson. “We believe ICPF’s work to promote careers in corrugated packaging and expand the development and recruitment of students from our university partners is a critical component to the long-term future of our industry.”
